  The problem is getting data into a flat file. Recently I had to direct our development group to try out some product like PDQOUT. And that reminds me, Sybase has nothing similar to export/import to move the data across platforms. The only way you can do that in Sybase is to extract the data into flat files using "bcp out" and load it using "bcp in".
