Jared,

There are too many mistakes in that "document" to even begin to answer. However, one I do love

 #26 Oracle will use the redo logs to create an index.

Obviously the author is working from that same INACCURATE book that says that Oracle doesn't write to the datafiles when a tablespace is in hot backup mode.

I don't mind a reasoned and intelligent discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of Oracle vs Sybase. Please note INTELLIGENT. You gotta get the facts straight before you can comment!
