RE: database clone:

Your thinking is incorrect. You CAN NOT share AIX and Solaris Oracle datafiles. They are platform specific in architecture. I'm currently moving almost 200 databases from sun to AIX, what that I could just move the datafiles.

Thanks all your reply. I am still thinking it is possible to use backup file or cp files. It is hard to exp/imp on a large system with 300GB.
