Hi Stephen,

Indeed my names servers (2) are running fine, and both are using the same Oracle regional database processing requests as they should. I'm just wondering why I have this error message?

Services does not seem to be a command but dumping the services to a file showed me a whole list of services (I loaded these also) I'll attach the output from the status command. All looks OK but I'm no expert (yet :-) )

Any Ideas

TIA Jack van Zanen

Jack:

It appears that the names server is up and running. Try this:

1. Invoke the namesctl utility from a dos prompt.
2. Type "services" (I think) to see what service names are processed.
3. Type "status" to see the status of the names server.

Thank You

Where does it come from (Where did I mess up my configuration)

NNO-00807: Error: OCI_NO_DATA
NNO-00267: warning: configuration database contains no data for server "[root]"
NNO-00315: server is listening on address (ADDRESS =(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=nlzz101535)(PORT=1575)) NNO-00065: loading cached data from checkpoint file "E:
