Hi,

Working with Oracle8i on a Japanese NT machine, I am not able to create a
database with a SID name/Alias name in Japanese? Also it doesn't accept a user password
in Japanese. However I am able to create table names/column names/user names/table data in Japanese. I looked up some documentation and there is a
mention that passwords and SID name must be valid alpha-numeric characters.
However I suspect that this applies only for English machines. So does anybody know if there is a possibility of having a Japanese database SID name and a Japanese user password?

Regards,
Siddharth.
