RE: view other people's TAR

All of THIS said, however, there is a way that you can see the PERTINENT information if you need to. If you have a tar that you are working with them on their end, and you find a tar desc that looks like you might get something out of it (or if THEY reference it) and you tell them... they can cut the non client specific data out of the message and let you see the resulution path that worked for them.

THAT happened end of last week when we were doing our initial install of Financials (development instance on AIX). You cant go hunting on you own and get there... but if there is a valid reason to get information out of it, they will work with you to get you there.

Hell, I sure hope you can't view other companies tars. I put customer specific stuff in some of my tars and that would just be obscured if Oracle
opened up other folks tars to everyone. That being said, Kirti is right,
you cannot see other folks tars on Metalink.

TAR info contains the CSI number, and thus viewing other people's TAR won't

Hi All,

How do I look up other people's TAR such as the one posted by Ron Yount 1921166.995?
I tried to search for it which yielded no results. I then tried to view a
single TAR by number
under the TAR menu but got the following message:
