Do you have an ODBC driver for the DB2 instance that works on AIX?
If you have one or can get one then you may be able to use Oracle's free Heterogeneous services.
See for example:

Also note 109730.1 - How to setup generic connectivity (Heterogeneous Services) for

note-107227.1 setup and troubleshoot Generic Connectivity(ODBC) on Unix
Alternatively Oracle may have a licensed Gateway product that will work (at a cost).
Take a look at "Oracle8i Transparent Gateways A Technical Whitepaper August 1999" for a comparison of the 2 - available from Technet or Metalink.
