Use SQL%ROWCOUNT.

BEGIN

     insert into table1
     select * from table2;
     dbms_output.put_line(SQL%ROWCOUNT);
END;
/

Executing this PL/SQL block should display you the number of rows that were inserted into table1.

Hallo all you gurus,

How can I write in the pl/sql code if I want to insert in a table the number of rows that are inserted in the select statement in the procedure? Give me a good example, please.

Thanks in advance
