Thanks re. the Ixora script, but I get nothing returned.

I checked the trace file, all the lines with *p3 in them end with p3=0

I will try with lower settings in init.ora.

I did make changes required for Tru64 UNIX, i.e. trace file PID component is 6 digits long not five, and trace file names are ora_PID.ora.

It's a pretty simple test, you can easily do it manually as well.

Where can I find information on this parameter on the Tru64 UNIX platform?

I did a scan of the manuals for Tru64 UNIX at docs.oracle.com, but didn't find mention of it anywhere.

I want to set db_file_multiblock_read_count properly...
