Oracle 8.1.7 install error

I keep getting the following error while trying to install Oracle 8.1.7 on my NT server.
There is over 1G of freespace on the drive. If I say ignore, the installer continues to run.
Any ideas?

Error in writing to file c:\winnt\system32\ctl3d32.dll
