ADO limits a maximum of 2 GB that can be used for maximum column size. There is a known limitation of not being able to insert > 4000 bytes in LOBs using the Command object. Oracle is actively working on enhancing our provider to remove this limitation."

I'm not sure if your ADO version contains a fix for this, but meanwhile check this:
