Give Chapter 10 of the RMAN docs a browse, also the concepts chapter.

You must explicitly tell RMAN what to skip. A level 0 backs up everything.

With "RMAN Incremental backups" will a Level 0 backup always backup "ALL" tablespaces including previously backed up READONLY tablespaces ? Or is RMAN smart enough to realize that it has a current backup of all the READONLY tablespace and only backup the READ/WRITE tablespaces ?

Thanks in Advance
