RE: XP Professional & 9i

Ken,
A co-worker of mine has installed Oracle 9i on XP Home Edition. This is for learning etc. Nothing to do with any Business related work.
>From what I know (from Metalink) 9i will be supported only on XP
Professional Edition(32-bit at the moment, currently no support for 64-bit XP ).

That brings rise to the question "Why aren't you a member of MetaStink?"

Have you purchased Oracle Support? If so, you likely have access to MetaLink. If not, you need to.

You'll never be able to successfully implement an Oracle based application on 9i without support. You at least need to have access to patches.
