Hello DBAs,

This procedure outlines how to establish a standby database on the same server as the production database. However, it naively assumes that extended production downtime is a non-issue!

Is it possible to establish a standby database on the same box as the production database without incurring production downtime? If so, does anyone have the procedure available to share?

Thanks,
Paul
