Truncated table!!index still holding space??

Hi Friends,

I have two tables sized more than 2.3Gb has each index 700Mb, I truncated both tables!! I got space back of from tables, But indexes still showing its holding space(I got from dba_segments), It looks weired!! Mine is oracle7.3 in AIX.
