HP 9000/L2000

HP SureStore 12h AutoRaid

10-36G drives (useable space)

Oracle 8.1.7 (Production box)
Oracle Apps 11.0.3
2 OLTP db with web services
1 small data mart

  1. HP recommends 4-6 LUNs. Do I just divide up the storage equally, or is there a reason to think about different size LUNs?
  2. Are there reasons to have 4-5 lvols per LUN vs 1 or 2 lvols?

Thanks.
