Ok.... Here is the info you required.

The DB is ORacle 731 on VMS. For the "credit control" application system our conern needs to send letters to the customers,

before their services are going to disconnect based on different reasons.

For that i'm using ORacle reports and producing letters. Up to this is fine, there is no DB issue, nothing.

Now assume that, the report producing 1000 pages. And to print 1000 pages the printer will take half an hour(say). Until that, the user has been idle, but we don't want the user to be idle.

So we need to distribute the 1000 pages into 3 printers.

My question is How can i specify the printer name while printing reports (is there any system parameters are there to set the printer name?)...

You need to give more information when asking a question like this .....  
    1) What are you using for the reports
    2) Is this really a database issue ??  Is this some report that is coming from an oracle database or something ?
    3) What is the OS that you are working on ?? Different ones have different capabilities ?

You are not the first who has posted a question without giving enough info.   Folks need to be clearer with they are asking for.

Without this kind of info .....  you will probably never get a response.
