We are using Tru64 UNIX on Digital servers (aka Compaq) here, no problems with Oracle on UNIX.

        I found it quite stable running on a beefy compaq proliant with raid
5
        arrays (can't remember allthe server details).  Of course, this was
        compared to the other DGUX servers I had at the same site...
