recover on different hardware

Been here 18 hours. No database. Looks grim. Hardware blew chunks. Major ugly.
Plan is to reconstruct entire system on new hardware. If I get my dbf files from last night's cold backup (as well as all my config files), I should have a database that looks just like last night at 11:00 pm.
DB should come up clean, should think it's a happy camper.

I do have most of my archived redo logs from today. What recovery option do I use to start applying the redo logs I've been able to salvage? (Guess I'm confused cuz the database will not think it needs recovery.)

I'm about to RTFM, but I'm a bit bleary-eyed. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Barb
