Comments in SQL code

So, here I am, asking developers to comment their code. I see in that the comments are in the object body (in the TRIGGER_BODY column in DBA_TRIGGERS for example), which leads me to believe that the comments actually use shared_pool. Can anyone confirm/squash this?
