Table conflicts

The administrator on our ERP system is concerned that we may be getting table locking problems (where a process has to wait until a row lock is released by another process). We have recently received ORA-00060 errors
(the one where Oracle inserts the text "The following deadlock is not an
ORACLE error. It is a deadlock due to user error in the design of an application or from issuing incorrect ad-hoc SQL"). We believe the ORA-00060 is due to a specific program error.

        However, she is concerned that we may be receiving other table locks and not know it. I have run STATSPACK quite a bit, and haven't seen any waits that look like this, but maybe I'm not looking for the right thing. I have been monitoring the "User Type Locks" screen in OEM, but that is just the momentary events
