Peter,
Secure  CRT is a Telnet client that runs on a PC.  As such, it can create a log of the session, translater or raw. No, this ' @ ' problem only occurs when logged in as Unix Account "bob".  For all other Unix Accounts, "sam", "sally", "root", the ' @ ' works as
expected.
No, it does not matter what Telnet client software I use, Net Term, Tiny Term, Windoz Telnet, for the Unix Account "bob", the ' @ ' key does not work correctly.

You say that the trace
shows Secure CRT sending that character set, So I am guessing that it might be Secure CRT that has had some keyboard mapping enabled.

Does this problem occur if you log in to a different Unix user.
Does it happen if you logon to the same account from a different copy of Secure CRT, if so have a look at stty and the man page for termio to possibly resolve the problem. HTH Peter

Subject:        Unix - ' @ ' symbol
does not work in SQL Plus

Somebody has remapped the value
that is expressed when the ' @ ' key is pressed.  A session trace file, from a Secure CRT emulation, shows that a
hex 0d 0a, is being expressed instead.  As a result, we can't run SQL
scripts from Sql Plus or svrmgrl.
This "feature" happens on an Oracle Unix account that a consultant was
working with last week.  The production Unix accounts are all working OK.
I think I need to look at .login, .profile and several envnrionment scripts
that are executed at login, but I don't know what I'm looking for.  I just
need to get this key mapped back to "normal". Any help and / or ideas?

Don
