Mladen et al,

The Oracle 8i Reference manual Appendix A describes the very same wait events (seems to have been lifted straight-away from Anjo Kolk's paper, modified for 8i and gaps filled in). Look at App C for Statistics descriptions.

This is a good time to annouce a new acronym - RRTFM (Re-Read The Fine Manual)!
