If you tar up the CD's and ftp them to your server, you don't need SA to swap CD's.

If you set up automatic startup/shutdown using /etc/rc2.d and /etc/rc0.d (on Solaris, but there are equivalent methods for other platforms), then the database/listener can be controlled without DBA intervention, if your server crashes or gets rebooted intentionally.

are they going to swap the CDs for you on an install? if the server crashes and you have to restart the DB without VNC or PC Anywhere running, how do you do that?
