Good day,

I have an application that has many documents (Word, Excel, pdf, email etc) stored on a Solaris file system. I want to be able to search the contents of those document. Is it possible to create some tables in the database that has BFILE columns that reference those documents outside the database and use InterMedia to do searching?

I am not familiar with LOBs and Intermedia, that's why I ask this basic question.

Thanks
Long
