RE: Two Instances at one oracle Server

Nirmal,

Change your Oracle_Sid environmental.

Like (from the DOS prompt):

• Starting the first instance set oracle_sid=sid1 sqlplus internal/pwd startup exit;
• Starting the second instance set oracle_sid=sid2 sqlplus internal/pwd startup exit;

How?

I started first one, then i try to startup 2nd, it says, "Cann't start - already started, shut it down first".
