not only would the vessel integrity be compromised, but the likelihood of introducing extraneous matter into the contents of the mug (also known as corruption) would be extremely high and the risks would have to be carefully assessed before attempting.

On another note -- Eric, do you have a "cold" or "hot" backup of the contents of the mug?
