ORA-27146: post/wait initialization failed

Hi

Using Oracle 8.1.6.3 on Solaris 2.7.

I get this error ORA-27146: post/wait initialization failed when trying to startup my database.. if I reboot the machine then it starts up without problems..

>From reading previous e-mails.. I'm led to belive that the semaphores need
to be increased.
Does anyone know how to do this, also how to calculate how much to increase by etc
