file/tablespace deleted at the OS level

Oracle V9.0.1 Solaris 2.6 a development instance

I made more than one mistake which resulted in me deleting a file that held single table tablespace. Now the instance won't STARTUP (naturally). Since I can easily recreate the data, I'd like to know how to convince Oracle to ignore the missing file and startup.

If my recovery steps fail, I'll get all the files for this instance restored from Thursday's cold backups.

TIA & HAND!
