RE: multiple copies of jre.exe on one server

I'm sorry to say that I can't tell you whether or not that is normal behavior, because I just don't know. But one thing that I CAN say is this...count your blessings that you're not running iFS...that thing runs like 8 different instances of jre.exe on average. It's crazy....you need a pretty massive, high powered server to effectively run that software.

My server has four copies running, and the HTTP server NT service refuses to start.

I am wondering whether I should shut down all the Oracle Web-related components, kill.exe any remaining jre.exe processes, then start everything up again.

I would like to know why one copy of jre.exe isn't enough...
