Hi!

 With support for different file systems  apart from 'ufs' like jfs and vxfs

 Much of the perfomance issues have been  covered.

 In fact apart from Oracle Parallel Server  having datafiles,redo log files and controlfiles  on raw devices does NOT make much sense.  

 Particularly with 'features' like
 'Oracle Managed files'
 not making ANY SENSE at all in raw devices!
