i think part of the issue is(and i've done this in the past),
the white paper and slides are not written until acceptance, so all there is for
some people is an abstract.
now for IOUG2002, you have to submit an outline, so
practically the whole thing is done(and i've submitted my first abstract,
woohoo, now off to query flashback) :)

ORACLE-LTo those on the list who submitted abstracts to OOW and were
either rejectedor placed on the alternates list:I have learned
that there are only 75 non-Oracle personnel slots for presentations at the
conference. So it had nothing to do with the quality ofyour abstract and
much to do with Oracle trying to own the
conference.Rachel_________________________________________________________________Getyour FREE download of MSN Explorer at <A href="http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp">http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp-- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: <A href="http://www.orafaq.com">http://www.orafaq.com-- Author: Rachel Carmichael INET: carmichr_at_hotmail.comFat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing
