Hi lists
i have a situation here.
one user requested us to increase the size of the tablespace as he needs more extents to be allocated for his table.
i queried the dba_tables for tablespace information.
but system showed nothing. and then i queried the dba_tab_partitions. it showed 4 tablespaces for that table and again i queried dba_segments and i have got another tablespace name.
when i queried dba_tab_partitions i got x1,x2,x3,x4
when i queries dba_segments i got
ts1
i verified this situation with dba_data_files. All tablespaces have got different datafiles.
I dont understand this situation. can anybody tell me?
is there anything magic with the partitions.
(like sub tablespaces in a tablespace. if yes, how to
find out them)
This is our datawarehouse environment.
thanx in adv
