On Thu, 2 Aug 2001,Rachel Carmichael scribbled on the wall in glitter crayon:

->we called that 52 card pickup -- take deck, throw in air, run like the devil
->was after us.
->
->I learned EARLY to draw intricate designs on the top of the deck so as to
->make putting it back together simpler.
->
->When projects were due, I'd cut every class but the computer ones, and stay
->in the computer center until midnight,when they closed. Oh the good old
->days!

i was one of those geeks who could put object decks back in order by hand.;-) i still have several boxes of card decks. the kids like them for bookmarks.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a
Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a
year, killing everyone inside. - Robert X. Cringely
