Deen,

shouldn't the statement be:

TYPE tb_uc9_corres_type IS TABLE OF uc9_correspondence.COLUMN_NAME%TYPE

        INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER; ??

The %TYPE in your PL/SQL is being applied to the table which, I think, is not valid. A PL/SQL table is a one-column data type, indexed via the BINARY_INTEGER index.

You could easily fix this by finding an assignment statement elsewhere in your code to see what you are trying to store.

hope this helps

Hi,

I just migrated from 734 to 817, I used migration utility. Migration went fine. Some of my package specification have become invalid.

When I tried to recompile, I got the following error 30/41 PLS-00206: %TYPE must be applied to a variable, column, field or

         attribute, not to "UC9_CLAIM_AMOUNT"

The source is listed below. uc9_correspondence is table in my schema. I do not know why this is throwing up an error where as 734 was happy with it.

TYPE tb_uc9_corres_type IS TABLE OF uc9_correspondence%TYPE

INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER; Any help is appreciated

Thanks in ADvance
deen
