how to configure utl_smtp

hi
can any one help me to configure UTL_SMTP PACKAGE AFTER INSTALLING THE UTL_SMTP.sql what steps need to be taken at the NT level (any things to be configured)
the documentation gives the procedures how to use the package but i could not find how to configure the UTL_SMTP with the database on NT Thanks in advance
