Hi,

Can't remember who started this thread but the most common misconception I see is :

"NOLOGGING (UNRECOVERABLE) stops redo log generation."

though another favourite of mine is :

"The Universal Installer is useful" and
"You can use the 8i database assistant to reliably create a database."
