Hi

You have corrupted oracle blocks. You can run dbverify to check your datafiles if you have more. To solve this one you could simply drop the index and recreate it later. Oracle will no longer use that block marked as corrupted.
Make sure you check the state of your harddrive.

Hi,

I need to export data from one db and import it into another db. The table name, structure in both db are exactly the same. It's Oracle815 on Sun Solaris.

I got error in index file. How does that happen? And what will be the possible solution? Thanks.

Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.05 via conventional path
import done in US7ASCII character set and UTF8 NCHAR character set
import server uses UTF8 character set (possible charset conversion)
. importing ICSS's objects into ICSS
. . importing table "INVENTORY_ITEM" IMP-00058: ORACLE error 1578 encountered ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 10, block # 27164)
ORA-01110: data file 10:
'/orafs03/oradata/CP40PV2/ld_index02.dbf'
