If all that's needed is a read-only snapshot of the data from the non-Oracle sources, then the heterogeneous services should be sufficient (more sophisticated usage might require the gateway product for that specific db).

This is discussed in the Distributed Database Systems manual. Also see Notes 115098.1 (Unix) and 114820.1 (NT).
