UTF_FILE

I'm moderately familiar with the UTF_FILE package for server access to files. But my impression is that it is limited to sequential access (1 line at a time - starting from the front). Are there any other packages out there that provide random access into files (akin to seek() or fseek() functions). Oh yeah, and another thing..... These files might be rather large. Certainly over 2GB.

Thanks
