Crystal Reports 7 on 8i client fix?

This issue is about a year old so I wonder if anyone knew of a fix. Crystal 7 will not work with an 8i client. Some people have indicated that ODBC works ok this way, but we are using Oracle native drivers, p2sora7.dll or something.

Anyone know of a resolution other than switching to ODBC or upgrading to Crystal 8?
