Enterprise User Security?

Greetings,

Has anyone implemented a combination of Oracle Internet Directory or MS Active Directory with LDAP and Enterprise User Security? If so, what is the complexity level like? Reliability of the solution? Management implications? My understanding is that Oracle Names will be eventually phased out in favor of LDAP, however the Names setup looks like a child's play and works like a charm, compared to info in few documents about LDAP.

Anyone writing a book on this? Please?
