Roy,

Don't make too much of that note from Metalink mentioned in another post.

It's 4 years old! A lot has changed since then.

This doesn't mean I've warmed up to MS, but you don't want to bring that document to a meeting. :)

Here's two of my favorite reasons for using Solaris over NT:

  1. Remote administration is easy on Unix, not so easy on NT, though it is improved with Win2K.
  2. Installing or reconfiguring software on Solaris rarely requires you to reboot the machine.
