Real-life Stand-by DB implementation stories?

Anyone implemented SBDBs recenetly? A client is comparing them to a cluster solution involving Fail-Safe. We are recommending SBDB and trying to go to 817 also (on 80521 now).

Also this is NT if that makes a difference.
