I've used it at a prior employer. Its a nice product, great volume manager, never did pay for the quick i/o for oracle but heard it worked well. It bypassed the unix fs (buffered i/o) and used its own fs: faster than raw but easy to manage like cooked.

The subject of Veritas came up at work today, and I'm curious. How widely used is Veritas in Oracle environments?
