For some reason, Enterprise Manger does not like it if the terminating ")" of a Tnsnames.ora entry is in column1...just indent the ) by 1 char and it should work.

Hi,

I only used SQL*PLUS or the old enterprise manager 1.6.x so far. Now I decided to give the Java tools a try. Unfortunately, upon startup of DBA Studio, I'm getting a "File tnsnames.ora could not be analyzed, Error: 100 -- NLNV-NLNV String Format Error". What does this mean and what can I do about it ? Does it have anything to do with my NL-Settings (I installed an US english Oracle on a german Win NT).
I already changed my registry settings to american but it didn't do anything.
