Hi Chuck,
Do you happen to have (or can get) 7.3.4 on AIX? If the IRIX files can be used on AIX, then you could just run the cat7304 sql to bring the db to 7.3.4 level and them perform the migration to 8i. I don't think migration to 8i (via Migration utility) is possible without doing the prep work with the db running under 7.x version. Other than using exp/imp, that is.
