On Fri, 30 Mar 2001,Chuck Hamilton scribbled on the wall in glitter crayon:

->The problem with doing it that way is that 7.3.3 is no longer available
->for AIX (or any other platform for that matter), and that's what we're
->running on IRIX. My thought was that if you're able to open 7.3.3 files
->with an 8.1.7 instance all on the same box, and if the file formats are
->compatible between unix systems, shouldn't I be able to open copies of
->7.3.3 IRIX files on an 8.1.7 AIX instance?

oopss, i missed the 7.3.3 part sorry. and i don't think you can open the files with the newer version, that would be just too easy. as for the files being the same on the differnet unix versions, i ain't got a clue.

sorry i wasn't much help.;-)
