External procedures. They are described in detail in PL/SQL manual and there are several articles on www.oramag.com.

I am trying to run sqlloader without leaving the my stored procedure but it seems the only way to invoke it is from the command line or sql plus. Is there any way to run an os command from within a pl/sql stored procedure/package?

Thanks,
Eric
