No, it's safe. It's actually a hot dog. I believe they use cebrettes (think that is how it is spelled), which I have only seen in NY and NJ. I don' know how they cook it, but when it comes out the skin and the ends are actually kind of crispy..mmmm. Then they put onions, mustard and some sort of chili on it, the rolls are steamed. OH MAN talk about a good hot dog. I usually eat about 4 at a time.
